USER Manual for partner (Panel Manager)

As part of the Mentor Project there is a Quality Management Plan which aims to describe the initiatives and tools that will be used during the project in order to verify achievement of the predetermined objectives.

In order to build a system that is aimed at gathering information on and analysing the quality of the project, strategic elements have been identified which might determine the quality of this initiative.

Four elements have been identified

       a)       the quality of the relationships and connections among the partners;

   b)       the quality of the objectives identified and the expected results;

   c)       the quality of the initiatives described and the phases identified;

   d)       and, finally, the quality of the tangible outputs created.

  On the basis of these strategic elements the Mentor Project quality plan intends to verify:

  • the pertinence and adequacy of the relationships among the partners compared to the objectives to be achieved;
  • the pertinence and adequacy of the objectives identified and the results expected;
  • the pertinence and adequacy of the initiatives described and carried out for each phase compared to the predetermined objectives and the expected results;
  • the pertinence and adequacy of the tangible outputs created compared to the initiatives, objectives and results.

  We wish to make clear that by pertinence we intend everything that directly and in detail concerns a particular question/issue/problem, while by adequacy we mean everything that is appropriate and proportionate.

In order to verify the quality of the relationships, the results, the initiatives and the products, as described previously, there will be two processes that will be activated during the Mentor Project: monitoring and assessment:

  • with monitoring we intend to carry out a periodic survey of the phases and, therefore, of the initiatives and the relationships. The survey will be carried out during the Project (i.e. in itinere) in order to ascertain the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes and products.
  • with assessment we mean to carry out a final survey of the Project, also in this case of the initiatives and relationships, to be carried out at the end of the whole project in order to elaborate and interpret the results obtained by highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the Project and assessing its repeatability.
